so i found my favorite pop punk band from when i was in highschool on spotify and shared it on tumblr.
seriously fucking good. they’re called my hotel year, they were from florida, and they seriously contributed HEAVILY to who i am today. it’s at their shows that i’ve made the friends i’m still close with 10 years later. it’s how i came to know my community’s scene as the single most important part of my formative years. and holy fuck, i’m listening to them right now and ugh, i still love it.
check ‘em out for your own sakes.
pretty much every great night of my life between 2001-2004 had something to do with this band, be it big things like driving from indiana to florida just to see them play. or little moments i’ll never forget; laying with my best friends in my tree house screaming along on hot summer nights. idk, i just wanted to share them with you.
